This is the kids applicants passport . part of required documents checklist.alterhase58 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 04, 2025 1:38 pmWhose passport is this?
Passport as such is taken to the appointment for ID purposes, and should be uploaded beforehand if that is required by the application.
Sure, we recently visited Gee centre london for ILR and it was really good. ... no complaints..contorted_svy wrote: ↑Tue Feb 04, 2025 8:49 pmWe are not aware of what happens at these centres in detail, especially after the recent transition to TLS contact. Document your experience and report back, here and/or on Google reviews.

talking about the tlscontact email..contorted_svy wrote: ↑Fri Feb 07, 2025 4:26 pmUKVI will not send an email. We don't know how long TCScontact takes to send an email. However, unless you don't get an email that there is an issue with your application, regardless of receiving a confirmation email or not.
aah got it .. just missed that part.. thanks for all the help..contorted_svy wrote: ↑Sat Feb 08, 2025 3:06 pmI also mentioned that in my reply. we don't know how long they take to send the email, but if there is an issue with your application you would be contacted.
No, there is no way to find out the status. It can take up to 6 months, sometimes quicker, sometimes longer.
got the certificate today.. no email at all before this..alterhase58 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 13, 2025 5:51 pmThe registration certificate comes by post - you may or may not also get an email (before or after certificate).

have few more questions pls :
1. Can we apply for british passport ? If yes , we have to surrender indian passport and apply for oci while we are on ILR . only your son can apply for British passport. Can't comment on surrendering Indian nationality but your indian citizenship shouldn't be affected by your son's British nationality. Not sure what you mean here
2. Can we use indian passport without applying for british passport ? or the british registration means they are citizen and passport is just the formality .. He is British now. He doesn't have a valid immigration status. Without a British passport he can't return to the UK. Your son must apply for a British passport.
The thought process as we want to club all the Indian passport surrender and oci together as family rather than travelling twice for that within 9 months You can wait for the whole family to get British passports and then do that all at once
thanks

Thanks,
1. yes only he can apply, the other query is regarding indian citizen condition which i will post on other forums.
2.so if we dont apply for british passport and he travels outside.. uk.. he cannot return without british passoprt ?? He wouldn't be allowed to board a plane on an Indian passport without a valid immigration status.
3. if we wait , then he cannot travel outside uk - am i correct ? Correct. I don't get what you would gain from waiting to apply for his passport though?
Thanks, it is the other side of things like surrendering indian passport and complication at evisa/oci for india..contorted_svy wrote: ↑Thu Mar 27, 2025 9:47 pmprisingh wrote: ↑Thu Mar 27, 2025 8:32 pm
