Skilled worker visa holder in a grey spot

Post by stephman1910 » Mon Apr 07, 2025 5:25 am

Hi everyone, hope you all are having a great day. Please I need advice from anyone who have been or know about my situation as I would state below:

Late last year, my employer went into liquidation. and I was made redundant.

I have been applying for jobs since that time and it has not been easy especially when you need to be sponsored.

My previous employer has now opened a new company, and has asked me to work a weekly 20hrs/week max while they apply for a new sponsor license in order to put me on a fulltime employment .

What options do I have ? would I be bridging any rules ?

NB: my current skilled worker visa was issued before 4th of april 2024, and still has over 2year on it.

You cannot do any supplementary 20 hour per week work if you are no longer working for a visa sponsor in the full time job.
