An employer cannot cancel a visa. Your employer simply reported this change in your status via their SMS system. That is all it means. Also as you have ILR, you no longer have a skilled worker visa and so there is no visa to be cancelled. You will receive no communication from the home office. So go and live your lifeheisemadhura wrote: ↑Tue Apr 08, 2025 8:20 pmHi,
I successfully transitioned to an ILR in Nov 2024.
Today I received a letter from my employer that my Skilled worker visa has been cancelled and that Hime Office will reach out to me.
What does this mean? Is this just standard practice that employers follow? Does this affect my right to live and work in the UK? I am already on an ILR.
Should I expect any communication from the Home Office?
Thanks for your help.
