Hello all,
I need an urgent support.
My friend has british citizenship. He got married two months ago in Turkiye, and they applied for a spouse visa early april. Yesterday, they received a refusal letter which is very shocking.
Refusal reason is that the financial requirement is not met. However, my friend is a self employed director at his company with an annual net company profit of £25000 (ct600 Jul2023-july 2024) . He also has showed £29750 in his personal annual income (SA100 april 2023-april2024).
He had £9750 directors salary and £20000 dividends shown in the annual accounts and tax returns. In the letter, they say the personal bank statement in the period of ct600 does not cover £29000, and so they refused. This seemed to me very absurd because he received around £21000 bank transfer and the rest as cash. Why is this an issue? is it compulsory to reflect all the personal income in your bank statement? in that case, what do people with cash income do to proove their income? Is the tax return not enough to proove annual income?
Any comments is appreciated.
All the best
