If daughter is under the age of 18, has completed 10 years legally in the UK and both parents are legally resident in the UK, she can apply directly for registration as a British citizen with discretion under Secton 3(1).rkbalu31 wrote: ↑Fri May 16, 2025 9:19 amMy daughter born in India and she is also in family visa route and continuously living same as my wife.
As I'm holding an ILR and when my wife eventually get an ILR under LR, does my daughter can go straight into citizenship when her current family visa expire on 20th July 2026? or she has to first get her ILR and then citizenship? Please advise.
If she has to get an ILR first, can she get it same time as my wife?
LIUK and English B1 tests is ONLY for adults 18 and older.rkbalu31 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 31, 2025 6:38 pmThanks @zimba.
I have a question for my daughter ILR (LR) application. She born outside of UK and her D.O.B is 23-oct-2013.
As my wife and daughter completing 10 year by end of Nov, I'm planning to apply them via LR route.
My wife completed her Life in UK test, but I'm not sure if my daughter has to complete Life in UK as well?
Any help is really appreciated. Thanks!
