Hi,
I am on a Skilled worker Visa from June 2021, that was issued for 5 years up until June 2026 and now I am applying for a dependent Visa for my son born in Jan 2025 in UK, i.e. up until June 2026. While filling my dependent son’s Visa application from inside UK, I have given reference of my previous CoS, UAN numbers and associated dates that was used for my Visa application back in 2021. After filling the Visa application form, I have paid a IHS surcharge fees of £776 and when I am now above to pay Visa costs for my dependent, I am being asked to pay £1751, which is incorrectly calculating for the 5 year duration instead of calculating for the actual duration(roughly 16 months) Visa. Hence would request to please let me know on how to progress further with this. In UKVI site it states that up until 3 years duration the costs for Visa is £885, but here I have been asked to pay almost double the costs. Should I progress with the same application, pay excess Visa costs and then claim for a refund or what are the other options to proceed? Please advise.
