ILR Long Residence Application - Queries for Family

Post by lat1 » Wed May 21, 2025 6:34 pm

I have been granted ILR under the Long Residence category on November 22nd 2025. My family (wife and three children) will complete their 10 years of residence on July 5th 2025 and will be eligible for ILR on June 8th. I have the following queries regarding the application process:
1. Application Submission Timing:
Can I submit my family’s application now (on May 21st or 22nd), and book a biometric appointment for June 8th? Would it be possible to attend the biometric appointment on June 8th or 10th, depending on availability?
2. Application for Dependents:
Can I include my children on my wife’s application, or do I need to submit separate applications for each of my family members? Essentially, do I need to apply for 4 separate applications (wife and 3 children)?
3. Documents for Children:
Regarding the documentation for my children, I understand that I need to provide correspondence for the last two years. I have a bank statement, but the account was only opened 6 months ago, so it only covers 6 months. What alternative documents can I provide to cover the remaining period?
Any advice or guidance on the above questions would be greatly appreciated.

1. Why not just wait till the 8th June, it is not that far away.

2. You cannot add dependents on the long residence form each applicant must apply I dividually and meet all the requirments individually.

3. Where does it say you need 2 years documents for long residence ILR???

Thanks for your swift response. Last year, when I applied for ILR I received this below statement in the documents sections.
" and correspondence
addressed either to you jointly, or in both of
your names, or addressed individually to you at
the same address, to cover the last two years"

Cohabitation documents are NOT relevant for ILR under the long residence. Again, under the long residence you apply on your own and must qualify on your own

ILR Long Residence Application for children under 18 – Documents and Consent form

Post by lat1 » Thu Jun 12, 2025 2:37 pm

I have submitted ILR (LR) application for my son, who is under 18, under super priority service, and in the document checklist in the Evidence section, I have to provide the below consent.
1. Letter of consent from your parent(s) or legal guardian(s)
A letter of consent that confirms:
• the relationship between you and your parent(s)/legal guardian(s)
• consent from your parent(s)/legal guardian(s) to the application
• consent from your parent(s)/legal guardian(s) to the living arrangements in the United Kingdom and the address where you will be staying
• whether one or both of your parent(s)/legal guardian(s) have responsibility for you
Both parents/legal guardians must sign the letter of consent, except where only one parent/legal guardian has sole responsibility for you
Question: Is there any specific template for this consent form? I would greatly appreciate it if I could get a sample letter.
2. Also, the consent form they provided is the family consent form, which has three parts.
PART 1: Consent for the Home Office to verify application information
PART 2: Consent for the Home Office to verify third-party information
PART 3: Consent for the Home Office to verify information from third party sponsor
Question: Which part of the consent form do my wife and I have to sign for my children?
3. Evidence of Ms XXX's immigration status in the UK.
Question: Do I have to provide the share code?
Thanks in advance for your help and support

1. There is no template. Just write the letter yourself and you and your spouse sign it. That is all
2. A parent signs both part 1 and 2
3. That is from old times when people had Visa sticker or BRP. No need to send anything now
