Sponsor Licence Revoked - Visa Expires in 30days - Considering FLR Application

Post by sassybee2 » Thu Dec 04, 2025 6:18 pm

Good day everyone,

I am currently feeling quite confused and would appreciate some guidance. My sponsor licence was recently revoked, and I am permitted to stay in the UK only until January 2026. I am actively applying to other companies that can provide sponsorship, but despite having a full UK driver’s licence and my own car, I have not yet been successful in securing a role in the industry.

As my visa is nearing its end, I am considering applying for FLR (PL) to extend my stay. However, after watching various videos on YouTube, I have become increasingly concerned, as the decision appears to be largely at the discretion of the caseworker.

Given my circumstances, I am unsure what reason to provide for applying for the FLR. I would greatly appreciate any suggestions, and I will be grateful to hear from anyone who has been in a similar situation; whether successful or unsuccessful, so I can learn from your experiences.

Thank you in advance.

1. You have a previous username, which you probably forgot the log in for???? Multiple usernames are not permitted on the forum.

2. Your previous posts 2 years ago, under the other username, indicates you have stated you are British.

3. If this post is related to someone else, who is it for and what is their full UK immigration history???

Thank you CR001, yes I had a previous username and account here and I tried to login to that account and reset my password without luck. When I selected forgot password and provided the email address I used, I did not receive the email that I can use in resetting the password. Hence why I created this new account and I apologise for having to set up another account.

This question is regarding a family member and their immgration history is as per below,

They relocated to UK in April 2023 through the care visa and have been working for the same company since then, in october the company's license was revoked and that is the situation I have described in the original question.

Thank You

So only been in the uk for about 2.5 years. There is no private life here after such a short period so highly unlikely they would get such a visa. It will be considered a frivolous application trying to use any means to remain in the uk.

Their sponsor was likely one of the care companies targeted by ukvi as non genuine, there have been 100s losing their sponsor licence.

Having a car and drivers licence means nothing to be honest in terms of immigration.

I am assuming their visa has been curtailed. They need to leave the UK by the date in January if they are unable to find a new sponsor.

If they are unable to get a new visa sponsor, then they are likely not skilled enough to meet the requirments. You haven't stated what qualifications or skills etc they have.

Thanks for this response. They are qualified to degree level and since arrival to the UK they obtained quite a number of certifications related to the health and social care sector including the NVQ level 3.

I guess now it’s more of hoping to get a sponsor before visa expiration.

Thank you again
