question about child benefit

Post by academic711 » Thu Feb 26, 2026 9:09 am

Hello
I currently have the ILR along with my wife and my daughter, while another daughter is a British Citizen- both aged under 10.
In principle, it appears we are eligible to claim child benefit. However, just for reassurance, could that have any impact on the citizenship application? Is it something that is reported in the citizenship application? I am just a bit concerned given the political climate and intention of some parties to restrospectively revoke ILR particularly, if benefits are claimed.
Thank you

You could have claimed once you all had ILR.
However, just for reassurance, could that have any impact on the citizenship application?
No!
Is it something that is reported in the citizenship application?
No!
