I received my Citizenship on Nov 2025, The timeline for dependents (Wife/Kids) is

Arrived in UK July 2020,
ILR July 2025

When can they apply for Citizenship ?

My children are still studying in school, I had come on tier 2 visa and they came as dependent. Now that I got citizenship after due process. Do they wait for one year after ILR or can they apply now

If children are under 18 and have ILR they can apply now.

I am preparing my for British Citizenship for dependents and wanted to double-check their eligibility dates and the specifics. Here is my scenario:

My Status: I was granted Citizenship on Oct 2025.

Dependent Status: ILR granted on July 2025.

Marriage: We have been married since 2013 (Non-UK)

My Questions:

Do dependents have to wait for 12 Months after ILR ?

Since I am British citizen, is it that dependents do not need to wait for the 12-month ILR holding period ?

Does it matter that I only became British in Oct 2025?

No.

Spouse and children under 18 yes. They could have applied as soon as you attended your ceremony last year.

Note that there is NO "dependent" concept for British citizenship. Each applicant, adult and child, must meet rhe requirments individually.
