Hi,

Please help me with my quiries

I will be finishing my 5th year on my work permit in Nov after that i would like apply for PR status . in that case when can i start the procedures to apply ? 5 th year calculate from the day we arrived in uk or from the day visa was approved? (my visa was approved 20 days before i landed in Uk also the work permit was issued a month before)

I heard from my friends that to go through a solicitor will be more secure is that right? what happnds if i apply direct ? is thre any chance to get rejected? (i m working in the same place from the starting)

we had a baby last month and we would like to apply for her passport, if we get PR does our baby get British Passport? is it good to apply for her passport before applying for PR or should wait for the PR to finish?

is there any problem for my patner and baby going away for two months before applying for PR?

Thank you in advance for your great service

ILR Qualifying period started on date of arrival.

If your baby was born in the UK, then see also need for a dependent visa?

Once you get ILR, you can apply for British citizenship for your UK born baby. http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/briti ... /borninuk/
