Hi,
Is there any successful applicant for the Tier 1 general who showed maintenane by combining two savings accounts? Basically, I have a joint account and one salary account (both savings) and the combined balance in both never drops below 2800 pounds on any given day in the 3 day period. (closing day balances).
Any body done this? Also does this have to be calendar months?
And what exchange rate does one use for this 2800 pounds? The VFS web site for India claims that consular exchange rate is 1 pound = Rs 85, while that on the OANCD web site is lower at around 80 - for deternmining the INR requirement which exchange rate should I use?
Thanks!

Yes you can use combined sum from two accunts. I did it for my extension.

Exchange rates should be of the application date.
Thanks!

What exactly is your question and what do you understand from calendar month?

Calendar month can start on any date in a month. That was the reason I asked you to clarify. So 1 Jan to 31st Jan would be a Calendar month (31 days) and so would be 15 Feb to 14March (28 days!!)
regards,
push

Thanks guys - you have surely saved me a lot of money (this was the only thing I was uncertain about) that a consultant would have charged!
Apologies - 'calendar month' was not the appropiate term to use for that!

You can use your husband(as main applicant's bank statement) and yours too.
