Really? I figured it could work this way. On leaving Tanzania, the Airline checkin staff will be interested to see her Visa/British Passport to see that she is legal to travel. She can show them her British Passport, or her Tanzanian one if she has a UK visa sticker in it.ca.funke wrote:If Tanzania doesn't recognise dual citizenship I see a practical problem on leaving Tanzania:
As a Tanzanian (only) she would need a visa for the UK.
On leaving Tanzania, how would she explain that she is allowed to enter the UK? No doubt they'll check that on departure, and using the UK-passport is out-of-the question for this purpose.
That's where the problem is: Maybe they are not interested, but if dual-citizenship is considered an issue, they can use this to find out what's the story.scrudu wrote:When passing through Immigration controls (if there are any) she should display her Tanzanian passport. They would not be interested in where she is travelling as all they care about is whether she is legit to leave the country, right? Her Tanzanian PP may be stamped with an Exit Stamp (depends on the country rules).
Using the ILR and possibly three passports could be an option. But would that be accepted?Rozen wrote:She can always travel with THREE passports whenever she's moving back and forth between UK and Tanzania!
Not possible if she has a valid British passport.benifa wrote:Apply for Right of Abode endorsement in the Tanzanian passport.

But what if the UK passport is lost?Right of abode (INF 12) wrote:You will not be issued with a certificate of entitlement if you already have:
