The situation has not changed with regards to your wife. She would still have to apply for a settlement visa on the basis of you moving to the UK and after 3 years (and another visa application..) she is likely to be entitled to apply for British Citizenship.
I don't believe the situation has changed with regards to your daughter either, though happy for someone more knowledgeable to correct me.
That's not what I am trying to achieve.djb123 wrote:What are you trying to achieve? British passports for the rest of your family whilst you are living and working in the Middle East with no intention of moving to the UK?
If so it isn't going to happen, and any changes to the the citizenship procedure will make it harder not easier.
Sorry to hear about your daughter, i hope you will find solution that works for you daughter.isoprem wrote:That's not what I am trying to achieve.djb123 wrote:What are you trying to achieve? as I have mentioned before my daughter has a medical issue which can be treated in the UK in advance way, so I am intending to move my family to the UK for that (in first place), however, medical treatment for my daughter as a UK citizen will different from being a non-UK citizen, besides, some enhancement programs will be very expensive for non-UK citizens. So my intention is to move my daughter to the UK as a citizen to start the treatment efficiently and immediately.
In addition to the above, I am intending to settle down in the UK with my family.
My other question is that there is a chance that during the first few years after moving to the UK I won't be there with my family, so does this affect the Indefinite Leave To Stay? Or affect other citizenship procedures?
I know my situation is somehow complicated.
Many thanks for your intention and advice.
