Post by hotmale » Sun Dec 27, 2009 3:06 pm

Dear all

I am going to apply for the xtension soon. AGE 20(PASSPORT),DEGREE(30 CERTFICATE N MARK SHEETS), 25 PONITS SALARY(PAYSLIPS N STATEMENTS), 5 WORKING IN UK = 80 POINTS.

I have all the paperwork ready and need expert advise. Because so many people have told me so many different things. I M SO CONFUSED PLEASE CLEAR THE FOLLOWING POINTS FOR ME.

1. Home office says if you have provided the docs during 1st stage you have no need to send them again. However all the forums suggest to send the degree paper again. I have no problem sending this however TO CLAIM ENGLISH POINTS I PROVIDED A LETTER FRM MY COLLEGE do I need to send the letter from college again or should i send the old letter with Jan2008 date. AND IF NOT THEN WHAT SHOULD I WRITE ON THE FLR FORM AS AN EVINDENCE (e.g provided last time WILL THIS WORK ).

2. Can any provide me with the covering letter format please. I have two jobs so letter I am looking for should be able to display calculation for these two jobs. OR A LINK WILL BE APPRECIATED

3.WHAT IS THE TOTAL HOME OFF FEE NOW INCLUDING THE DEPENDENT(ONLY 1).

REGRADS

Your understanding of HO rules is correct. You need not provide them degree in relation to points to be claimed for education if you intend to use the same degree as was used at the time of initial approval. See Para 89 (Page 18) of the Guidance Notes:
Documents required – all applications
89. An applicant who has previously been given permission to stay in the United Kingdom under Tier 1 (General) or the Highly Skilled Migrant Programme, and previously scored points for the same qualification for which he/she wishes to claim points in his/her current application, does not need to send evidence of his/her qualification again.
Similarly you do not have to provide any proof for english language criteria if you met the same at the time of original application (the app form clearly provides for the same)

For English Language requirement see Section 4 V of the application form:
Applicant is currently in the United Kingdom as a Tier 1 (General)
migrant, a Tier 1 (Entrepreneur) migrant or as a Highly Skilled Migrant
Programme participant and has previously satisfied the English
Language requirement
Go to question V7

Can you be more specific here? i.e. which sections of the form you are finding it difficult to fill? See section 3C page 48 & 49 of the form - there is clear provision for a case like yours. Btw have you seen the form, if I may ask please?

Yes. On pg 48 - you need to check the relevant box for S3 as well; On pg 49 - mark the box which says
Evidence previously provided with the
applicant’s initial HSMP application
Mention the same in the cover letter as well, if you are providing one.

English Language: Fine
