I am writing regarding a possible pending EEA application and a few questions that have arisen - we have read the information provided at www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk but are unsure we interpret this correctly.
1) I am a Swedish citizen by birth but have since acquired Australian citizenship and am also, currently, residing in Australia. Am I still considered an EEA national?
2) My de facto partner of seven years is an Australian citizen; with the intention of moving to the United Kingdom, to live and work, do we qualify under the EEA category and should we in this case apply under the EEA2 category? Both application form and guide seem to imply the EEA national as having to currently reside in the UK, hence the above question.
3) Should I not be considered an EEA national, as per item number one above, would this change were I to move back to Sweden or would I need to reside in said country for a period of time before making application?
4) Would both applicants have to provide proof of comprehensive medical cover as supporting documents?
Any help with the above questions would be much appreciated.
Cheers
