Yes, arsenal is right... but you didn't provide that information so we can't know.arsenal49 wrote:when is your visa going to expire. if its less than 6 months... then you can stay in this country until your visa expires and not just 2 weeks from the date you are made redundant!!....

I think the best bet would be to switch to say, tier 1. Even 60 days isn't enough to do much... especially in this state of poor job market.mt_dilber wrote:once ur employer decides to finish ur job, they should write to Homeoffice, then Homeoffice will write to u that u are no more working for ur employer thus u have 60 days to either find a new employer or switch into another category. u must leave uk before xyz date or 60 days from the date on the letter.
If homeoffice has not been informed, then its a gamble.
Tier 1 might be his best bet if he qualifies... but as you say here, it is really f... up that you work here with no security or anything, once your job ends, you have to pack years of your life and leave like trash... and this fear is always there, until you get ILR etc.wanted66 wrote:I'm sorry to hear about your situation man. The system is really f*cked up.. Look at all the losers with a passport running havoc in the country and look at the situation for people who work hard ! Beauty of this country..
Anyways we made a choice to come here and we're suffering because of that. It's a good eye opener.
I think you should see a solicitor and get some professional advise. Why not ask your boss to help you find another place ? It's worth a shot.
I know how you feel mate. Good luck to you.
