Children born in UK to a work permit holder

Post by VNatarajan » Tue Feb 01, 2011 10:57 pm

Hi,

Me and my wife are residing in UK for the past 3 years both of us in Work permit. My child was recently born in UK.

What are the things to do now? I'm going to apply for a passport at Indian High Commission soon. But does my child automatically be a dependant on me and can I apply for his visa from within UK? I'm confused as I've been hearing that dependant application has to be applied from outside UK.

Kindly advice.

Thanks,

VN
