Hi,
I'm a bit confused and would like some clarification please.
My wife is a British national, and we intend to file an application for a spouse settlement visa for me.
I am working and earning, and have savings to show for the both of us.
My wife is a housewife and doesn't work currently.
The question is: Is it true that it's the sponsor that needs to be working and showing a steady income?
On another thread of mine (on this forum), a moderator was telling me that I should be concerned about my wife's finances and income rather than my own. Is this true?
I thought the most important thing was to show that we can support ourselves without recourse to public funds (regardless of which of us is working)?
Please confirm.
Thank you.
