indefinite leave to remanin 10 year rule Urgent help please

I came to uk on 9 feb 2002 and i extend my visa every time before it get expire. except one time in 2004 or 2006 i did not rember. home office has sent application back as i did not tick the box of criminal conviction. i just tick the box and send it back next day
as i do not have any criminal conviction.
i want to know that is there any problem for ilr for 10 years.
i have applied SAR on 6 dec 11 still waiting for it as no responce from home office yet.
is better to apply for ilr or wait till SAR comes.
how much time SAR will take

how much time SAR will take

1. Under the 10 years rule you can have one application out of time but not exceeding 10 days and that is the only discretion which can be used under this category.
2. To get a more clearer picture u wud need to know wen did u submit the application, wat was the expiry date of the visa, wen it was returned to you did you have a valid leave at that time or u visa was expired, wen u sent it back, how many days gap were u incurred.
3. As u r not sure you wud need to see that in u SAR.
4. Wen does u current leave expire?

my visa is expiring on 1 march 2012
im not sure that visa expired or not
the day letter cme to me next day only i send back the letter
sar papers didnot cme till date im waiting for it
