Why some class mates got RIGHT OF WORK and some not?

Post by Pooja1234 » Tue Jan 10, 2012 9:58 am

Hi everyone

I had tier 4 student visa with 20 hours working permission, then, I switched to Privately funded college and changed course which is level 7 Diploma, Ukba granted visa but I do not have working permission at all.

Question is why some of my class mates in the ''same course'' has got right of work (20 hours) whilst I havent? even they applied after July 2011

Is this a mistake from UKBA or some students are just Lucky?

Yes, there are two class mates got permission to work in same course, applied for LTR after July 2011.

What can I do?

nothing - the rules say that you won't be given the right to work, and you haven't.

I spoke to college regarding this matter, informed that they are Part funded by LSC. However, I am not legally allowed to claim working permission, but what if I exemplify these two cases to UKBA + a letter from college regarding their funding status and then request to grant working permission?

thanks

You should do that so the situation will be clear.

where are you studying? Have the students concerned given you permission to send their letters to UKBA higlighting the fact that they have been given the right to work and you haven't? If they have made a mistake in giving the other students the right to work, the likely result is that they will then lose the right to work.

Thanks everybody... what I am going to do is to send only the i.Name of students ii. their nationality iii and their Date of Birth only. I spoke to college they are not willing to give me any letter regarding their funding status, but they have been giving funding the proof is on the internet.
thanks
