Legal separation in marriage + visa for new spouse

I am currently legally separated from a woman but I am considering bringing someone over from another non-EU country as a partner, would I be able to? Or do I need to legally divorce first?

no, if you want to apply for a partner visa, (if you/she meet the requirements), you have to be divorced first.
