ancestry visa with tier 5 youth mobility?

Post by wez130 » Wed Dec 18, 2013 7:30 pm

Hi I'm new here and looking for advise plz?

My partner is from NZ and over here on a tier 5 YMS visa.

Her visa runs out in June and we both want her to stay here, marriage is an option but we'd have to do it soon and would rather save and do it properly. Her other option is an ancestry visa as her grandmother is from here in England. My question is, providing she goes home say in May and applies for the ancestry visa from there, will her current tier 5 visa ( which will be due to run out then) cause any issues? Or does there have to be any time after her visa runs out?

Thanks, wez

It won't cause any issues and she can apply for the Ancestral visa when she is ready and has all the documents etc.
