***PASSPORT - how much time / whats the fastest way to getit

I heard there is 6 weeks to wait after u send your passport application, then a couple of weeks for an interview.

does it really take 6 weeks to get only my documents back and then wait for an interview? what the real time from the moment u send application till the time u get british passport?

the other things is if u send it on your own, u have to send a cheque only, so if I use option check and send and pay by debit card when I send my passport appl at the post office, so it means it's faster then sending appl without check and send?

total time from sending it to receiving british passport is about 6 weeks, depending on the time of year too, ie summer is very busy and can take longer.

if you post it yourself, fill in the payment form on page 25 of the guide booklet to pay by debit or credit card
