We were requested to send school attendance record for the kid born outside the UK because the passport expired in 2016. My wife's ESOL expired after 2 years and we did not realise. We were asked to send a valid English language qualification within 14 days. My wife did the B1 SELT test at Trinity college and sent the successful provisional test result with a covering letter before receipt of the certificate. Please note ESOL is not accepted as a valid English language qualification especially if it is more than 2 years and not taken from an approved SELT centre.

Haven't applied for a passport and won't until it's needed or in 4 years time, whichever is sooner. If I'm having two passports, I want there to be as little overlap as possible
