There's a lot of talk about how some types of applicants are prioritised but just to reassure some of you: I applied back in September, I am a spouse of a British citizen, I am an EU citizen (French), never got into trouble (not even a parking ticket), and I have a bunch of UK degrees. According to what I have read here I should have been approved within weeks, as you can't get a case more straightforward than mine! But I'm still waiting. So try not to worry too much.
hello

can`t agree more.Myself and my daughter applied at the same day ( August) based on the updates i got mine was allocated to a case worker before her, she was my dependent in all her previous statuses. she didnt even ask for any update ( maybe this helped more :) ) and she got hers approved today before me.

but i am over the moon for her

good luck

I have emailed 2 times NationalityFrontEndTechnicalSpecialists@homeoffice.gov.uk but I only received straight away a automated email :
Thank you for your correspondence.

This is not a general correspondence inbox.  Unless we have contacted you directly your email will be deleted.

Should you require any further information regarding British Citizenship you should visit:  https://www.gov.uk/contact-ukvi-inside-outside-uk

Does this happen to you guys, does everyone got this email first and after a proper update?

There you go! No logic at all there... I'd love to tell you your approval is on the way but we can't be sure  but I'm sure we'll be fine sooner rather than later :)

This is the wrong email address. These guys will never answer you. Instead, you should email NationalitySupportTeamFMT@homeoffice.gov.uk. They may take a few days to reply to you and may only give you some generic response though, but they're your only hope to get some sort of update eventually.

Good morning
I applied on January 2019 and still waiting, yesterday day I received this email :
We have received your application and biometric enrolment. Your case has been validated and allocated to a case working team. Your case is currently undergoing case worker action to ensure it meets the necessary requirements that will enable us to make a decision on it. When a decision has been made you will be notified.

Yours sincerely

Home Office
Is that means my application is with the case worker,?, and how long it usually take with the case worker till get decision ?
Thank you

I applied on 20th nov and still waiting for a reply, but I have to travel to my country end of next month, just wanted to know if I could travel before I get a response from Ukba and also if my application is approved, do I have to return my brp immediately or after the ceremony?

If I get approval let’s say 2 days before my flight, will I be able to travel and return on my brp?

Thanks guys

You are free to travel.

BRP must be returned within 5 days after your ceremony. You are only British once ceremony has been attended, not from approval letter date.

Plan accordingly and book your ceremony for when you return.

Hello Everyone,

My mom has applied for Naturalisation end of October 2019. I emailed the Nationality helpline and they have replied with a generic response (saying as she applied in September 19 she needs to wait a while longer) but she applied in October so I guess they send the same generic response to everyone. But on the same day she was contacted by the Sopra unit where she enrolled her biometrics+documents saying she needs to book another appointment to rescan her passport, we called them to book the appointment and the lady said it was something to do with the photo taken on the previous appointment that wasn't accepted by the caseworker so they need to take another photo and rescan the passport. Has anyone had a similar issue on this forum? I've been going through so many posts and I haven't seen anything like this before. We are supposed to go back there today to have this done and hopefully they will make a decision soon after that.

Hi

I applied for naturalisation on 27 Sep 2019 and | emailed FMT for update twice last week and I received the following replies:

Received First Email 2 days ago from MMST FCT Callnotes:
Thank you for your email.

We can confirm that you have successfully enrolled your biometrics.
Your application will now continue to progress until a decision is made.
We will contact you if we require any further information from you throughout the course of the application process. Please note; we will not contact you to provide regular updates and cannot provide a definitive application processing timescale.

AND Received Second email today from MMST FMT:

Thank you for your e-mail.
Applications are dealt with in application receipt date order. Therefore as your application was received on 27th September 2019, It will take a while longer for your application to be considered. You do not need to contact us. Once your application is decided, you will be contacted by your caseworker.

I'm so much stressed. Is any of these emails means any good news? any answers will be appreciated.

Many thanks

Thank you so much for your answers. I am refugee and two of my friends with Tier 2 visa had their decisions within 6 weeks. This is really unfair that they delay refugee aplications.

Well, I'm not a refugee actually. I'm an EU citizen and married to a British citizen (who, himself, was naturalised within four weeks). I'm not sure there is much logic! I totally sympathise.

I fully understand your point. However, as I said, the majority of tier 1 and 2 EU applicants are processed quicker than refugees. The majority means more than 85% of the these particular types of applicants.

Home Office will never say that they have a special order and priority in place as it will breach all ethical aspects which lead to discrimination other types of applicants.
