I don't mean to piss you, but actually leaving no public trace could be a negative factor. :|
A work history and paying taxes is always considered to be helpful.

Applied in mid 2017 and still waiting.... a house wife and never worked in Pakistan nor in Ireland.. no driving history ... what checks they have to carry out?? the whole process is hilarious :)
Were you on a stamp 3 dependant visa by any chance? I know stamp 3 holders are not allowed to work on their own.
You are exactly right... its Stamp 3 spousal dependent visa with no right to work.
They really have no excuse whatsoever to delay you application for so long then.
I was talking to an indian colleague of mine today who said her friends got approval in just 3 months in the past and they were also dependent on their husbands. Unbelievable!
She has also applied recently and is quite hopeful but I told her about the unreasonable delays that can be easily avoided by INIS but only if they have really want to do so.

Can you please share your timeline with us?
Applied in 2018 and it has been more than one year now at this stage.
It would be helpful to others if you could share a little more detail in the 2018 timeline thread.
