My company is changing from sole trader to limited company!

Post by sagar512 » Wed Jul 18, 2012 12:15 pm

Hello all,

I really am desperate for advice here.

I am on tier 2 general past 2 years +. my visa is due for extension in MARCH 2013 and only this week i found out that my sponsor company is looking to change from Sole trader to a limited company with a new company name.

Now the old company per say the one i have visa from is A listed sponsor, the directors and managements all remains same but they are looking to just register now as limited company.

I would want to know how these changes affect my visa and what is the process now.

Do they have to apply for a new license, and i will have to re-apply for tier 3 general?

I have a couple of more questions but would want to start with this one , kindly reply back in earliest.

Thank you for your time

Mnay thanks mansi,

the company is owned by the same set of people even after the change, the business address and the business will all remain same.

But they are changing from sole trader to a limited company and under a new name.

Could you please help me with how would it affect me as a sponsored employee ( am under the old company's license)

I shall await further advice.

Many thanks

This topic is almost 5 years old. Kindly refrain from digging up old threads as highly likely the rules have changed a bit. Suggest start your own topic with your circumstances
