Post by carlabeach » Thu Jan 10, 2013 12:18 pm

Hi :
I have a some questions.
My 27 months spouse visa is nearly over. What is the next step to do?
I find a bit confusing the Uk border web site , is many forms and I don't know witch one is for me.
Also I find out that is been some rule change after July last year.
I hope someone can help , thanks in advance .

You were eligible to apply for ILR after 24 months of residence in the UK. The rule changes in December do not affect your application.

You apply for ILR on form SET(M). As you applied for your visa before 8th July 2012, the old rules will apply to you and you can ignore the new rules.

Have you passed the Life in the UK test (or an approved ESOL course). You can't apply for ILR with out this.
