can i work while waiting for TIER2 (PSW expire soon)

Hello
My company will give me cos number next week,
however, my PSW will expire in 26th Feb.

it seems like it takes 6 weeks+ to process the visa,
so i think i cant get visa before the expired day,
can i work after 26th Feb.?
