Benefit I can Claim

Post by ps82 » Sun Feb 03, 2013 12:53 pm

Dear Boarders, last December I got ILR with my family after completing my 5 years on workpermit and Tier 1, and I would like to know what are the benefits I can claim now after my ILR and whom I need to contact and what documentation I need to send,

MY Situation
My Annual Income is 46000 (Full time employment)
My Wife Annual Income is 4500 (from part time employment)
we have three children under 8 year age
I pay all my council tax and utilities bill and staying as a Private tentant,

Thanks
PS

based on your combined income which is ove 50k pa, i dont think you can claim any benefits. child benefit rules changed recently. you will need to look at the HMRC website and do the benefit calculator. you will also need to contact your council to find out about the benefits they iffer abnd what the qualifying criteria is. the DWP website could also have additional info.
