When to apply ILR - 5 year completes 15-May-2013

Post by MonkeyBusiness » Sat Mar 02, 2013 10:32 am

my 5 years on tier 1 will complete on 15-May-2013, but i have visa till 30th june,

my understanding is you can apply 28 days before you complete 5 years

so planning to apply around 29th April,

what confuses me is the statements say 28 days before the end of your visa

can someone confirm this please

i think i got my answer

http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/visas ... ormset(o)/

website says

Please do not send us your application more than 28 days before the end of your qualifying period. If you do, we may refuse your application with no refund of the fee. However, you must apply before your current permission to stay in the UK ends.

still if a senior member can confirm this for me, will be very helpful

What was the date of your initial entry clearance that was applicable to your qualifying period?
When did you enter the UK?

You may apply for ILR no sooner than 28 days prior to the completion of your qualifying period and before your leave expires.
