Tier -1 General Earlier Extension due to New Fees 2013 FAQ

Post by smandala.in » Sun Mar 10, 2013 12:01 pm

Hi All,

Can you please clarify the below,

Below is my current situation:

I have got my Initial visa stamping on 10-April-2009 and i came to UK on 28-Oct-2009. I went for an extension on 06-Feb-2012(Same Day) and got extended till 06-Feb-2014.

I am eligible for PR on 01-Oct-2014.

Question is :

As i need to go for another renewal on 06-Feb-2014, I would like to do it bit earlier to save money. Planning to send by post as i haven't got a slot for same day appointment.

Is there a clause or issue that applicant should not apply before a certain period i.e., if i do the earlier renewal which is 11 months before.

Please advise.

Thanks

My leave to remain is valid till March 2014 and I need it till Dec. 2014, so I am applying on 18 March 2013 PEO. As far as I am aware there is no such clause. But if you wana wait till 18 March 2013, I will update you:)

There is no requirement for visa extension of some months/days before current visa expires. I also had my 2nd extension last week which was 8.5 months early. I did that due to same reason fees increase (was expecting this) and peace of mind.

No questions were asked and got visa starting from date of appointment.

I am 100% sure, you would be fine with early extension.

I hope this will help.
