What does Immigration Detention Means

Post by ataman » Tue Mar 12, 2013 5:08 pm

Hello,

I got my refusal today stating that I should appeal in 5 days if i am in immigration detention, otherwise I have 10 days.

it is not written whether I am in immigration detention.

They didnt send my passport, it is only refusal letter and appeal form.

if you are indetention then you would be held by ukba in a detention centre usually waiting for deportation.this is similar to a prison but it is not a prison. if you are at home and received your refusal letter there, you are not in detention and will have 10 days within which to appeal
