How are business trips (Outside UK) treated for ILR

Post by RRSB2012 » Wed Mar 27, 2013 2:33 pm

Hi,

I am UK resident on Tier 1 General Visa.

I have to travel to other countries as a part of my job. These are purely business trips sponsored and paid by my employer. The trips are undertaken on business visas issued by other countries.

I travel for approx 120 days a year. Travels are 15 days to 25 days at a time.
For all my travels i get addition Salary in UK and pay Tax on it.

Can someone please advise me following:
1. Will UKBA consider these as absences and refuse ILR? if Yes, Is there a solution

I would really appreciate guidance on this matter.
Thanks alot

RRSB

OK, I am in exact same situation as you. I travel on business and my regular salary in UK continues. All i can suggest is if possible get letters from your employers certifying that all those trips were for business only and that you got paid in UK.

Hi RRSB!
Did you get to know in the end how your business travel effected your ILR application?
I am in a position where I can have this job option but would really appreciate your experience.
Thanks!

This topic is MORE than 5 years old!!
