Hi,
As per the new appointment system, One has to pay 100£ within 48 hours of booking online appointment.. I had booked mine 4 weeks back.. when this was not applicable..
Now i see that the appointment in my account is still active.. but want to understand from the forum if i need to call up and pay £100 now.. or will it be charged during the PEO appointment?

I am certian that the 100 pounds per person can not be avoided even if appointments were booked before 6th April.
The question is when to pay it: pay it now or when attending the appointment.
In another post, one said one has to pay and another said no need: confusing!

I just called UKBA and after giving my booking reference number they asked for £200 deposit(with one dependent). I have paid by card and they are sending a confirmation letter in 5 working days.
I have booked it before 6th for 26th of April.

Thanks for the clarification.. i will call UKBA and pay for the appointment as well.. Just another clarification..
My EC stamp date: 2nd May 2008
First Entry: 2nd June 2008
Current Tier 2 ICT valid : 2nd June 2013
I have taken an appointment on 19th April, based on 5 year calculation from EC date..
Can you please confirm if this is correct.. i have asked this in the past and i have been informed that it is correct.. I do not want to lose 300£ ( 3 applicants) if the calculation is wrong..

@techie, Now a days the 5 years period is calculated from the date you apply back wards 5 years.
If that is the case, when you apply 19th Apr 2013. 18th Apr 18th Apr 2008 you were not in UK.
But, there is another case like: the day you enter EC dated and 5 years after 28 days before you can apply.
So, calculate according to these rules and fit your appoitment inside the bar.

Hi, Can you please explain the same..
I was issue entry clearance on the 2nd of May 2008.. and i entered UK within 90 days.. i.e. 2nd June 2008.
Now should i take 28 days from 2nd May 2008 or 2nd June 2008.

With in the 28 days window before your current visa expires. As long as You have entered with in 90 days form your EC date. If 19th April 2013 if it is 28 days before your Visa Expiry date, you are fine.

Kevin24 and Alanwong,
Thanks for your responses.. but both are contradicting..
My current visa is valid till 2nd June 2013..
should calculation of 5 years be 28 days from 2nd June 2013 ( as suggested by Kevin24) or 28 days from 2nd May 2013 ( as suggested by Alanwong)

As you arrived in the UK within 28 days of your EC date, you can count that period towards your 5 years.
You can apply for ILR 28 days before completion of your 5 years (inc the period between EC and First Entry).
Goodluck.

Did anybody receive their payment confirmation letter yet? I am applying for a Tier 2 sponsored worker visa but the letter states 'Type of Application - FS'. Does anybody know what this stands for? I am keen to make sure I haven't booked the wrong type of appointment.

Hi Friends,
I booked my ILR Appointment using Form Set (O)
using the UKBA Online Booking tool.
I also called the UKBA Number and made payment of £300 (for 3 people).
I got confirmation email and now I have also received UKBA Appointment Letter. The confusion is because UKBA Appointment letter mentions in the subject that appointment is for Application Type FS.
I did not understand 'FS' so I called the same UKBA Payment Line. The gentleman said, he is hearing it for the first time and he does not know what it is. I am in a fix. I do not want to reach PEO and then get turned down because of some problem with application type etc.
Does anybody know what is this Application Type FS? In the worst case, if UKBA has booked me for a different type of application, do you think they would consider it when I explain the situation to them? Those who have been there, could you please share your experience?
Thank you so much in advance for your help.
Regards,
A

You are not the only one who raised the issue.
I guess others have the same thing as yours.
I think you will be fine.

Hi Techie78,
Did you get your ILR visa? I have the same query.
My VISA issue date is 09/11/2008 but I came to UK on 23/11/2008. I have booked my ILR appointment on 17th of this month. Do I need to consider 09/11 or 23/11 for the 5 yrs period.
Thanks for your help.

I give you her email for you to contact her, maybe she can help you to book an appointment:
