Brp date of issue Vs approval date

Post by RNikita » Sat Apr 20, 2013 2:40 pm

Hello Sr Members,

Many thanks to this forum for all the infomation on ILR.

My question as below

The BRP date of issue is mentioned 15 days later to the ILR approval date at PEO office.

Is this an error? Do i need to get the issue date corrected?

Not sure which date to be considered for the UK passort applidation

Your suggestion will help

Generally it is normal that the BRP issue date is a few days after a PEO appointment date as it is produced by a different department.

It is the BRP issue date that will be used to consider your application for BC naturalisation.

Thank you for your reply.

In my case both me and my wife went for PEO appointment. My wife BRP card came in 2 days and has the ILR approval date as date of issue

Mine has come 15 days later after follow up and my BRP issue date is 15 days from my ILR approval date

Is it important ot get this corrected?

You can contact them if you wih but it will make no difference in the future as the date difference is so minimal. I am also not sure if you will have to pay the brp replacement fee of £37 and can take up to 3 months, so guess one has to ask if it is worth it as your BC app can just be done when you meet the 12 months free from immigration.
