BRP Card after British Citizenship

Post by SHANKARK » Fri May 10, 2013 11:46 pm

Hiya,

I've got my British nationality approval letter today pending ceremony end of the month.

What happens to the BRP card which has my indefinite leave status after this? Should I send this card to UKBA to update my status from Indefinite leave to British Citizen? Or should I just discard it after getting British passport?

ukbaissues citizenship so i am sure they have your updated details already

you dont need to do anything with the card. i have kept mine as a momento of my immigration journey.

please be careful if you discard it as it contains you personal biometric details in the chip
