Family visitor or General Visitor?

Post by ncsh » Mon May 20, 2013 12:10 pm

Hello All,

I want to sponsor my parents-in- law (currently living in india) to come and live with me for 6 months. I am currently on ILR.
Which visa catgory should i apply under? Is it Family visitor or General visitor?
The requirement for family visitor visa says that I should be permanently settled in UK for my parents to come to UK but I am not sure if ILR is considered as permanently settled...

Pls let me know...

Thanks...

ILR is permanently settled!!

I would however be very careful about stating "......to come and live with me for 6 months" on the application!!
Char (CR001 not Casa)

Thanks for the response...
I will definitely not say that, but would say something like 'visiting me for 6 months...'
