Urgent help needed ILR (set(m)) wrong form for spouse visa?

Post by azo » Wed May 29, 2013 4:53 pm

My wife went to hand in her folder and was told by the unhelpful staff, working on behalf for the Chongqing Embassy, that she was missing some paperwork i.e a sponsorship form from me and a ILR (set(m)) form which they no idea for if she had to fill in or not.

She has never been out of the country, China, and this is her first visa application.

Can someone confirm that filling out a ILR (set(m)) is wrong for a first time spouse visa applicant wrong, as shown below.

Regards thank you

What form did she fill in?? Set(M)?? This is incorrect as this form is only for applications for Indefinite Leave to Remain in the UK.

Are you British?? She should then fill in form VAF4A.

Yes. I told her but shes worked herself up into a state, because of the bad advice the visa people are giving out that its rubbing off on me. Shes already filled a VAF4A online and they have asked her to do it again, wasting a day.

I have a feeling this application isn't going to pass this time around
