Hi.
My wife received DLR instead of ILR in 2011 for 3 years.
I would like to know how long she can travel outside of the UK for.
Thanks.

On what basis were you granted DLR?

My wife was on a 2 year spouse visa.
We had a few problems getting the English requirement for the ILR.
All documents were fine except for we received her ESOL certificate to late.
We had a 2 year old child at the time of applying for the ILR.

Why did you not apply to extend your leave on flr(m) until you met the KOLL requirement for set(m)?

Now looking back yep it would have been better if i had applied for flm for my wife but did not know.
I also did not know that she would have to be on DLR for 6 years and then she can apply for ILR.

@ket if you dont' get a DLR on the basis of asylum, it shouldn't be a problem for going your home country, short trip a month , 2 months absolutley fine.
