Divorce effect on Naturlisation

Post by ds80 » Thu Jul 25, 2013 10:35 am

Hi Experts and Gurus,

This month i had been granted ILR through route (WP+Tier2) . and i waiting for one year to apply for BC..

2 years ago i was married overseas and got my wife here in the UK on Tier2 defendant and gave birth for my baby boy (she and the baby now are still on Tier2 dep. and at the moment they are overseas in Morocco ) .

things are not getting very well between us and we thinking of divorce. ( i would be doing the divorce overseas in case we reach this stage)

would that have any impact on my Naturalization ?

thanks in advance

It won't have an impact on your naturalisation, but obviously your wife will not be able to obtain ILR or citizenship if you are divorced.
