residency check

Hi,I am applying as spouse of BC but I have been in uk since 2004,first as student then I got married in 2007. I have filled my residency back to 2008 ( 5 years) and I want to know if Home office will check from the time 2008 or from 2004.

Spouse of BC is only 3 years residency and that is all that they will probably check.
