How long is long residency ???

hello guys
my ex wife came into the UK 9 years ago, as a student and in 2010 switched to TIER 1, Work permit.

However she was told her TIER 1 work permit would not be renewed and was asked to leave the country. ( So she claims ) as she has always lied or misled me.

She has both an msc and phd in the UK

1. How long is long residency and what other routes can be taken.

2. We are divorced and have a 5 year old daughter who is not settled

Long residency applications are on form Set(LR) and is based on 10 years legal stay in the UK.

Yes she started off as an msc student in 2005 and is completing her phd now.

However as I said, I do not know the truth as she has misled me too many times, after posting this, I saw this online
