ILR or stright way naturalisation

Post by mahiaburi » Sun May 25, 2014 1:37 pm

Hi
I am a new member and this is my first post to this forum. Many people have benefited from this forum I know. I am a spouse of my husband came into the UK about two years ago under dependant visa. My husband already got his ILR and will apply for his naturalisation next month. Should I have to apply first for my own ILR after completion of 2 years or after 3 years I can straight way apply for naturalisation? My visa as a dependant i.ssued March 2012

thanks in advance

You cannot apply for naturalisation if you don't have ILR (free from immigration control).

Once you have been resident for 3 years and have ILR and meet all the requirements, you can apply for naturalisation as spouse of BC if your husband is British.

Did your husband get his ILR through PBS/Tier 1/2 or through ILR long residence.

Are you on PBS dependent now or on Spouse of person settled (ILR)
