UK Naric reponse Urgent Please!

Post by Kaff » Sat Jun 23, 2007 5:00 am

Guys,

I applied for my qualification assesment based on my University DMC.
They said that my qualification is compared to "UK Becholer (Ordinary) with following Additional Information.
"Final Certificate not presented. The indivisual should present a copy of final degree certificate as official confirmation of graduation. UK NARIC certificate not offered for this award"

I am out of my country since last 7 years, it is very hard for me to get Degree from my UNI, my DMC is issued from University and normally they take 4-5 years to issues Degrees, and I was out my country as soon as I got my DMC..

Am I still eligible to apply for HSMP based on current UK NARIC certificate and able to to claim for qualification points?
OR do I have to get Final Degree ?

I do appreciate your responses.

Thanks in advance.

Kaff, this sentence means that NARIC refused to give the certification because you did not submit your degree certificate.

You can still apply for HSMP if you request exceptional consideration for your qualifications.

If you say in your HSMP application that you have lost the original degree certificate and you supply the evidence required for exceptional consideration (read the Guidance to learn more about this) your HSMP application may be successful.

Thank you very much for your response.
I guess I have to go with this option.

I still have NZQA (New Zealand Qualification Authority) report, which offered me same Becholer degree status based on my current DMC, I guess both countries are delivering same sort of qualification standards?

If I do take it as exceptional consideration plus provide my NZQA assessment certificate, Will there be my chances of success? or is there still high risk involve?

Thanks in advance and your help.

Cheers

Based on this certification, you can definitely get 30 marks. Dont forget to submit the original degree and the NARIC certification though!!.

The NZQA certificate means nothing to the UK Home Office, friend - they aren't interested in any certification except NARIC. You may submit the NARIC letter that you have as part of your exceptional consideration evidence. Be sure to mention in your covering letter that you are applying for exceptional consideration for your qualifications and you provide the letter from NARIC just to show that your degree is judged comparable to a British BA (ordinary) standard. With the academic transcripts and references that are required when you apply for exceptional consideration plus the letter from NARIC, the HSMP team should be able to see that a) you were in fact awarded a degree from your uni and b) your degree is comparable to a British BA (ordinary). Those two pieces of information should be sufficient for your 30 points.

Now of course you may still have problems with your income evidence, or (if you are claiming age points) age evidence, so success is never absolutely certain!! If you want to have a better shot of getting your application approved on the first submission you should probably get an immigration solicitor to prepare your application for you.

Best of luck.

What language is your birth certificate written in? If it is not in English, you must provide both the original document and a translation made by a certified translator. You can contact the British consulate in the country of your current residence to find out the name of a translator that they consider "certified".

UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES
should you send your actual passport to the HSMP people with an initial HSMP application. The Guidance states this point very clearly on pages 2, 16, and 28!

If your birth certificate does not state your full name (a problem some forum members have said they have) you should provide a notarized copy of the personal details page of your passport along with an explanation (in the application form) for why you can't provide the birth certificate or driving licence.
