I have separated from my partner following a divorce. I am the settled person.
Now my ex had acquired some documents fraudulently and I suspect they may be used for a visa application. As a general query what would you do
Should I inform the HO of this or should I just ignore as it has nothing to do with me.
If I inform, will I get into any trouble or will the person/authority providing false documents be in any trouble.
Regards

I'll be honest - I'm not entirely clear on your status - are you on ILR and your spouse is just on temporary leave or are they a BC and you're now on ILR?
If you inform the home office one of three things will happen:
1) Nothing
2) They'll make a note of it and cross reference it when/if your ex-partner makes a visa application
3) They'll proactively go after your ex-partner.
3 is highly unlikely, 2 is possible and 1 is probable.
If you have nothing to do with it - then you won't get in trouble. In fact - it's highly unlikely you'd get in trouble anyway unless the fraudulent documents were passports or such and you supplied them.
It's also unlikely any trouble will befall the source - firstly because it'll be very hard to prove they supplied them and secondly because the supply of fraudulent documents is only illegal if the supplier knows they are going to be used in the course of fraud.

Thanks for the reply, let me give more details.
I am on ILR and ex partner on temporary spouse visa.
The fraudulent documents have no link to me, but to my now ex partner. The supplier is probably unaware of their use. Its not passport or anything from a govt authority.

I am on ILR and ex partner on temporary spouse visa.
Have you notified HO about the change in circumstances? As he would not be able to stay on spouse visa if now divorce from sponsor.

Report the person to the police if they've committed fraud.
