Advice on obtaining tier 2 visa

Hi all,
I am requesting some help and advice. I'm not sure this is the right place for this post. Apologies if i'm wrong.
My girlfriend has been living in the UK on a student visa and has now had to return to Sri Lanka as she has finished her course. She hopes to return to the UK on a working visa and we would like some advice on what options are available to us and whether there is anything we can do to improve our chances of finding work.
