I like to know when can I apply for extension in 5 year route as the information on gov site says - near the end of ur visa expiry not specified time period mentioned

Ideally you should apply within 28 days of expiry of your current visa expires.

How many months was your original spouse visa for?
Char (CR001 not Casa)
