I am currently on a tier 2 ICT long term visa. I have decided to complete my post-graduation within the UK and switch to tier 4 visa. The program is for 12 months. After my studies, I plan to continue work in the UK. I understand that there is a cooling-off period of 12 months. But I am not clear when the cooling period starts, from the end date of tier 2 ICT visa or from the date when I leave my current company.
Also, the UK visa website states that you have to outside the UK for 12 months before you can re-apply for tier 2 visa again. For people switching to tier 4, this criteria of "have to be outside UK" should not apply. Please confirm.
Any input would be appreciated.
